Delhi schools will be remain closed till 13th Jan 2011
Monday, January 10th, 2011New Delhi 8th Jan 2011: With a cold wave sweeping the national capital, the Delhi government on Saturday ordered that all public and government schools in the city will remain closed till January 13, 2011.
“Due to extreme cold, all public, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) schools in the city will be closed till January 13, 2011,” the education department said in a statement.
The city government on Wednesday had announced the closure of schools till 10th Jan 2011.
The cold wave has been sweeping north India since the past one week with the mercury remaining below the average in the city.
