If today S.G.N. can boast of its predominant position as one of the premier institutions in Delhi, it is because of the Management, teachers, the students and the non-teaching staff that have untiringly worked towards it.    Giving the children absolutely pollution free environment, free from the maddening crowd, the hustle and bustle of life, provides the children the freedom to grow to the fullest, freedom to experiment, to think, to discover, to invent, to make mistakes, take challenges and be ready to face the world with confidence. It is here at S.G.N. that we have strong social commitments towards the weaker section of society. One of the social commitments is to provide education to the students with special needs and to the intellectually weak students. Aiming the same the school has introduced a separate Shanti Memorial Block for the better future and growth of the children.

LOCATION & OBJECTIVES
Shanti Gyan Niketan Sr. Sec. School situated in Goyla, Near Sector-19 Dwarka, New Delhi is a co- educational English Medium Public School.

The prime objective of the school is to make each child-a dynamic personality. The Manager of the school, Mr. Raj Kumar Khurana started the school with only 14 students, nurtured them with tender care and love with incessant day and night efforts, embarked successfully on its journey and is now considered as one of the most prestigious schools of the capital with 2750 students.

The school is located on a vast land of lush green & pollution free environment. It is a unique example of Guru Kul keeping up all the rich traditional values mingled with latest trends of society. The school has elaborate facilities, modern infrastructure and provides value based innovative education to the child along with the extra curricular activities & sports.

FACULTY & SCHOLARSHIPS
Its faculty has been handpicked to include teachers who are not only academically qualified but also committed to the child development from the core.   The school takes the responsibility in terms of enormous capacity to impart the best education to its students through new trends of teaching and learning.

Hence the results of the school in Board Examination speak for itself in all the subjects. The school also offers free scholarship to the students getting above 90% marks. To other needy students from poor families other scholarships are given according to individual needs and our resources.

ACADEMIA
The school has well stocked libraries, well equipped laboratories of physics, chemistry & biology and modern computer labs, music rooms & activity lab.    The school encourages the children for participation in class activities, inter house and inter school competitions and cultural activities. The school celebrates all important festivals and days.

Throughout the session, seminars, workshops, orientation and counselling sessions are held for teachers as well as the students.

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager of the school found its moral obligation to provide education to the students with special needs and to intellectually weak students. Aiming the same the school has introduced a separate – Shanti Memorial Block for them.

It aims at providing the individual attention in a class of 12-14 students by highly qualified staff, where the child is getting the best to improve in academics as well as in co-curricular activities.

SPORTS AND SPIRITUALITY
The school has big play ground, swimming pool, horse riding court, lawn tennis court etc. and provides facilities for almost all games.   The school has engaged highly professional coaches for the same. The school has achieved a glory at zonal, inter zonal championships.

In the recent period of total chaos and crisis, the school is regularly holding meditation, spiritual and moral classes for the guidance. The healthy parent teacher relationship is maintained through Parent Teacher Meeting every month. The school also holds an open house meeting annually to exchange views for the better future and growth of the children.

SCHOOL RESULT
Our students are giving excellent result in Board Examinations as well as excelling well in co-curricular activities at Inter School / Zonal / Cluster level respectively. Many of our students are doing various professional courses in IIT’s / DCE / NSIT / Medical Colleges, Indian Military Academy and so on.

REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION
Registration for admission in all classes begins from first day of January every year. Parents seeking admissions for their wards, are requested to contact the School Office in between 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Date of test or interview is informed at the time of submission of form. Admission in the school depends upon the number of seats vacant in respective classes and on merit basis if a student fails to qualify admission to a particular Class he/she has applied, will not be admitted to a lower class as a matter of right.

Dear Parents,

Life helps those who help themselves. We generally get from life, what we give to life. Success accompanies only those who are willing to put in the efforts, exercise discipline and make sacrifices.

In order to be outrageously successful, we need to be madly focused and wildly enthusiastic. Yes, focus and spunk mixed in the right proportion gives a sure-fire recipe of success. There is immense power in focusing on what we want. Dreams can come true, we all can reach a place called- ‘Extraordinary’ in life. All we got to do is focus but without unrelenting, passion and enthusiasm we cant read the path that leads to success because if focus is the soul then what drives it is enthusiasm.

Success sounds sweet but the path is immeasurably tough. Not all get through in the first run. Success demands several failures. A failure is not a dead end; it is the highway that connects you to success. Failure is just an essential part of realizing success. So, we should never give up and learn to smile in the face of adversity.

Dream big and work hard towards turning your dreams into reality, obstacles are just a part of the game. They are there not to stop you but to push you to the next level, to a test even bigger. At our institution we are making every possible effort to make our students go-getters because our success lies in theirs.

Infrastructure of Shanti Gyan Niketan Senior Secondary Public School

Shanti Gyan Niketan School boasts of the ‘State-of-the-art’ infrastructure, providing the students with best Laboratories (Computer, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) equipped with the latest instruments and apparatus. Art rooms are artistically and aesthetically designed to cater the need of children. The library has a rich collection of books for both teacher and the taught to instill the habit of reading

A sound proof generator installed to cope up with the power failure and also has provision for pure and safe drinking water.

To keep pace with the changing scenario facilities are provided for physical fitness and sports (both indoor and outdoor) are exemplary and of high standards. The best facilities are complemented by the presence of well qualified and experienced trainers and instructors who groom the students in various sports and games.

The school boasts of a music room which creates a conductive environment for the learning of the music notes and dance steps. School also provides a well equipped infirmary with a qualified nurse.

Sanskrit and French are taught as third language at the middle level.
